Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you cost?

Please get in touch for a personalised quote as there are many factors that can affect the price. Email us on info@rosewoodstringquartet.co.uk or contact us here.

Will you play outdoors?

In Summer we often play outdoors but advance notice MUST be given if you are interested in having us play outside. We will do our best to meet your requests to play outdoors but it is at our discretion to refuse at any point if conditions are unsuitable. Adverse weather conditions which may deem an outdoor performance unsuitable include (but are not limited to): direct sunlight, rain (light rain and spitting included) hot or cold temperatures, strong winds.

The instruments need to be protected from direct sunlight. We have an open sided canopy we can bring to provide shade but there must be the appropriate space for this and it is often not suitable for patios/ gravel.

What do you require from the venue?

All we need is four armless chairs and an appropriate, accessible, safe place to store instrument cases whilst we are playing.

I would like a song/ music not on your repertoire list - can you play this?

We are happy to arrange music not already on our repertoire list for you. Please mention this in your initial enquiry to give us enough notice to arrange and rehearse the music for you. An additional fee is charged for arrangement of new music.

How do I confirm a booking?

To confirm a booking, a contract will be sent out to be signed and returned and we ask for a 30% non refundable booking fee. This confirms your booking with us!

Will you accompany a singer?

We have worked with many singers and are more than happy to accompany a singer for any hymns or songs you require.

How far will you travel?

We are based in Glasgow but are happy to travel across Scotland - additional fees will be added to compensate for travel expenses and time. We have played all across Scotland and frequently play across the central belt.
